Weddings

Your wedding is a special time for you, for your family, your friends and for the church. A Christian wedding provides a wonderful beginning for your new life together. We at Redemption Church make every effort to assist you in planning your wedding and have it based on Christian principles. Below is an explanation of our 3-step process for holding a wedding at one of our Redemption Church Campuses, our wedding fees, and our pre-marital counseling.

Available Facilities

All campuses (Arcadia, Gateway, Gilbert, Tempe) are available to host wedding ceremonies. We are currently hosting receptions at the Gilbert Campus only.

Step #1: Wedding Application

The first step in scheduling a wedding at Redemption Church is the completion of three forms. The first form is an application gives us information about your wedding. This application is required to host a ceremony on a Redemption Campus, be married by a Redemption Church pastor, and/or receive marriage counseling at Redemption Church. Next, the bride and groom must each fill out a questionnaire that gives us information about who you are.

When all three forms have been completed, please email them to Susan Miller or fax them to 480-632-2553.

You can download the forms here:

Step #2: Attendance

It’s required that either or both the bride and groom are regularly and actively attending Redemption Church to hold a wedding here. Some exceptions have been made (such as students who no longer live here). Membership is not a requirement.

Step #3: Pastor Interview

Once your completed application is received, you will be contacted to setup an initial interview with one of the Redemption Church Pastors (usually the pastor who will perform the wedding ceremony). Should you desire to have a pastor other than a member of Redemption Church perform the wedding, you will still need to meet with a Redemption Church pastor. Once a pastor has approved the wedding application, the wedding date will be reserved on the church calendar.

Required: Marriage Counseling

The sacredness of marriage is described throughout the Bible. In light of this, Redemption Church is committed to providing a Biblical foundation for each marriage through training and counsel prior to the wedding. This is accomplished through the Prep For Marriage class and/or individual counseling with the officiating pastor or other qualified individual. Please indicate on the Application in Step #1 whether you have already received counseling or would like to receive counseling from Redemption Church and in what form.

Wedding Fees

1. Security Deposit – A security deposit of 25% of the User Fee is required to confirm a reservation and is due upon the signing of the contract. This deposit is in addition to the User Fees and is fully refundable once it is determined there is no damage or excessive cleaning to the facility after the event. Any Security Deposit to be refunded will be mailed to the User within 30 days of completion of the event.
2. User Fees – The cost for a wedding ceremony at any campus is $500. This covers our cost for set-up, tech, clean-up, and ceremony coordination. Additional fees may apply based upon special requests from the user. The cost for wedding receptions (Gilbert Campus only) varies based upon the desired venue on campus.
