Founding and Lead Teaching Pastor
Favorite quote:"The truth does not change according to our ability to stomach it" - Flannery O'Connor
Tell us about your family.
Susan and I were married June 17, 1978. We have two grown daughters, Sarah and Hayley. Tim and Sarah have three daughters, Gracie, Reagan and Brooklyn. Tyler and Hayley have two sons, Braden and Yale.
What do you do for the church?
I'm the founding pastor and serve as one of the lead teachers.
What hobbies/activities do you enjoy?
I enjoy (far too much) college football, golf, reading, and TV.
What excites you about Redemption Church?
I'm praying the Spirit will use the people of Redemption Church to live a biblically-changed life in "their world". I'm excited by the compelling vision of people invading their city, the Valley, and the state on message and on mission.
What's a good book/movie you've read/watched lately?
The Last Boy (Jane Leavy), and Christian Mission in the Modern World (John Stott).
Given the choice between a vacation in New York or a vacation in Yellowstone, which would you choose and why?
Assuming Yellowstone means camping...neither. To me "roughing it" is the old section at the Biltmore.
What's one album in your music collection that would surprise those who know you well?
Shania Twain's Greatest Hits.
